Women EmPower Hour – Meet Kassy Dillon

We are excited to have Kassy Dillon, founder of The Lone Conservative and staff writer for The Daily Wire, as our special guest at the Women EmPower Hour at CPAC this year. Get to know a little bit more about Kassy here:

What was your experience like in college?

I was the first person to go to college in my family, so I didn’t know what to expect. I actually had no idea that college would be biased in one direction or another, so was shocked to see the reality – discovering that I was the “Lone Conservative”. Rather than be discouraged by it, I used it to my advantage to make friends and spread conservative principles.

What advice would you give young conservative women facing liberal bias on campus?

Find or create a community, like NeW, to build relationships with other students, people who will be there for you. Find the conservative professors on your campus, or liberal ones who are willing to support you. Speak up, don’t be afraid, and have thick skin!

Who do you believe is the most inspirational conservative woman, past or present, and why?

Nikki Haley. She presents herself well, is likeable, and has strong values. She is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She is also positive and willing to listen and talk with everything. She inspires me, and so many women, because she is a passionate, articulate, strong conservative woman.

Why is NeW important?

As mentioned above, it is really important to have a strong community of like-minded individuals you can count on. Men and women are different, so NeW is important as a space where women can come together, discuss issues, and encourage one another. Through NeW, women have the opportunity to learn together, socialize together, and create lifelong friendships.

Kassy is an inspiring conservative woman. Come meet her and network with other like-minded women during CPAC. You won’t want to miss it! Be sure to RSVP for the Women EmPower Hour today.
