About NeW

The Network of enlightened Women was founded in 2004 to create a space for conservative college women to meet, network, make friends, and discuss conservative ideas. Here at NeW, we have opportunities and programs available to the women in our network to help them develop professional skills, learn more about conservative principles, and find a home with other conservative women on campus. For more info on the Network of enlightened Women click here.

Some of the programs and opportunities we host annually are our Essay Contest, Student Media Fellowship, Professional Development Week, Leadership Retreat, and internships.

NeW has active chapters on more than 50 college campuses. Click here to see where we currently have chapters.

You’re Not Alone: The Conservative Woman’s Guide to College

NeW is always looking for new ways to support conservative college women. Conservative students today face silencing pressure from their peers, hostile liberal professors, biased administrators, and more. Karin Lips, President of the Network of enlightened Women, wrote You’re Not Alone: The Conservative Woman’s Guide to College to prepare young women for what they will encounter on college campuses. Sharing the stories of students and recent graduates involved in NeW, Lips identifies problems on campus and provides practical tips on how conservative young women can thrive in this environment. Chapters focus on topics such as picking a college major, running for student government, building a community, and more!

The Conservative Woman’s Guide project also extends to a podcast. We produce this podcast as a resource for conservative women interested in learning how to be effective leaders—from practical tips on preparing for campus life and their first job to exposing progressive narratives to making the case for conservative ideas. The Conservative Woman’s Guide is available on Ricochet Audio Network, Apple, or wherever you get your podcasts.
