TOP CONSERVATIVE WOMEN STUDENTS GATHER FOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING

WASHINGTON, DC — The left would have you believe that women only think one way  and that any woman who identifies as a conservative is just being pressured by her father, husband, boyfriend, or employer. But the Network of enlightened Women, known as NeW, shows this is not the case.

On August 6-8, more than 60 of the top conservative women students in the country will join together in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the NeW Leadership Retreat for intellectual discussions, leadership training, and networking with leaders from around the country. The women will be welcomed to the state by Senator Marsha Blackburn during the welcome session on Friday afternoon, via Zoom. Students from Boston University, Colorado State University, Cornell University, Harvard University, Ohio State University, Texas Tech University, University of Michigan, University of Mississippi, University of Notre Dame, and University of Virginia, among other schools will be in attendance. Mary Kate Cary, host of the Bipodison podcast and former White House speechwriter for President George H.W. Bush, will be speaking throughout the weekend on advocating effectively for conservatism.

More than 1,000 young conservative women are involved in NeW programs annually through the more than 50 campus chapters, Professional Network chapters, and national programs. These women are independent-thinkers and leaders on their campuses, in their workplaces, and in their communities.

Following the NeW Leadership Retreat, these leaders return to their communities and campuses more energized and with the tools and training on how to defend conservatism and recruit new women to the movement.

“It is inspiring to see the next generation of female leaders come together to be equipped to advocate effectively for their conservative principles on increasingly hostile campuses. These women are important to the future of our nation. I am excited to see these women leave the NeW Leadership Retreat empowered and energized to be bold, confident conservatives on their campuses,” shared Karin Lips, President of NeW.

The NeW Leadership Retreat is an invitation-only event. For further questions please contact Kathryn Alford at media@enlightenedwomen.org.
