Senior Spotlight: Taylor Ford, NeW at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Taylor Ford, member of NeW at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I enjoyed our chapter’s first meeting of spring 2021 because I got to virtually see everyone again and talk about important events that happened over break. I also enjoyed our Galentine’s Day event because it helped me relax from a stressful week.

What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are to finish my master’s degree in cybersecurity while working part-time with Siemens Digital Industries Software.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Don’t be afraid to chase your dreams — you’ll never know where they will lead you if you don’t.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has encouraged me to not only become empowered and successful in my career but to also want to help other women learn that they can too.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it helped me connect with other women on my campus and helped me learn more about politics. Before joining NeW, I knew very little about politics, and I always wanted to learn more but never knew exactly how. After joining, not only did I learn more about how politics work, but also I learned that we need to empower and encourage more women to use their voices to get their opinions heard.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Taylor. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
