Congratulations to our graduating seniors, and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Reagan Root, President of NeW at Xavier University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?

My favorite events were NeW Leadership Retreat in DC and hosting Mary Karp for a speaker event.

What are your plans after graduation?

Working as a Hematology/Oncology nurse in Cincinnati!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?

Advice I would give to a conservative woman starting college is to be proud of what you believe in. It is much easier to be upfront about your beliefs and meet a group of friends who support you than to hide a part of yourself in fear of offending anyone. I was very upfront about what I stood for because I knew that was an important part of who I chose to surround myself with and NeW has been a great outlet. There are also so many opportunities and ways to meet people in the conservative college world and I think anyone who is interested should take full advantage of, even if it means losing a few Instagram followers.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?

NeW has prepared me for my next steps by teaching me how to be a young professional such as coordinating with speakers and planning events, organizing a budget, and recruiting new members. All of these are very valuable skills that I will keep forever.

Why is NeW important to you?

NeW is important to me because it gave me a place to be proud of my values, which are constantly shut down. Being in NeW for 4 years I have grown so much in my conservative beliefs and met many other women with the same values.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Reagan. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
