Senior Spotlight: Olivia Alonso, William Paterson University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Olivia Alonso, Vice President of NeW at William Paterson University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved our fall and spring tabling events, pumpkin picking, and Friendsgiving.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be attending Graduate School.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
We all have a right of free speech. Don’t be afraid to act on that despite what other people say. It won’t be easy, but the reward is worth it in the end!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
It has shown me that there are like-minded people out there. It made me more comfortable to speak out and not care what others had to say.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW has brought such a bond between conservative women on campus and between my sister and I. It is going to be weird to not be a co-team with my sister. It has allowed me to speak on what I believe in and stand up for what is right. I am forever grateful for all NeW has taught me.
