Senior Spotlight: Nadia Vogt, NeW at Virginia Tech

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Nadia Vogt, general manager of NeW at Virginia Tech University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved “Who Pulled the Trigger” with Ken Stiles and “Liberal Bias in Education” with Angela Morabito.

What are your plans after graduation?
Get a full-time job in the chemical/nuclear engineering industry.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Do not hold yourself back because of the fear of being attacked or looked down upon. The right people will love and support you regardless of your political affiliation. Once I became vocal with my beliefs, I may have lost some friends, but the confidence I gained was insane, and I’m glad that I said something and helped bring change (i.e. getting rid of vaccine mandates).

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
I am incredibly confident now and am not afraid to speak up, and I will use this confidence to navigate myself in the future.

Why is NeW important to you?
It taught me that there are more similar minded people to me and that there is a surprising amount of them, too.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Nadia. Learn how to bring a NeW chapter to your campus today!
