Senior Spotlight: Maya Fontaine, NeW at Boston University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Maya Fontaine, Public Relations Chair and Social Media Co-Director of NeW at Boston University.

What were two of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
Boston University is currently a new and an up-and-coming chapter so we still are trying to garner more events under our belt! But already I have really enjoyed participating in the celebration of NeW’s 16th anniversary as well as the Member and Board meetings. I love getting to know more like-minded women and discussing topics that interest me most.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am currently applying to graduate school for my MBA!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Be open, be yourself, don’t let haters phase you. There will always be people who disagree with you and that’s okay, but don’t change who you are and keep believing in what you believe in!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has made me more confident in who I am and who I want to be.

Why is NeW important to you?
I want to make an impact for other women who feel lost and feel as if they don’t have a voice. I want to show people that it’s okay to go against the flow of the mainstream agenda.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative females like Maya. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
