Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Katherine Lauer, President of NeW at the University of Kansas.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I joined in on the Dana Perino book club webinar! I was very blessed to be able to ask her a question live. It was so awesome to hear from such a successful, conservative woman. I also hosted Karin Lips, President of NeW, for a meeting at the University of Kansas. I loved hearing her story and how she started NeW.

What are your plans after graduation?
I’m going to go to an accelerated BSN program and then will eventually go on to become a nurse practitioner.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Be bold and don’t be afraid to be a part of the conversation.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has challenged me to think deeper about politics. It has equipped me with more knowledge to use in the future.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW has brought me many friendships. I am thankful to have been surrounded by people who share similar ideas.
