Senior Spotlight: Josi Dacko, NeW at University of South Carolina

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Josi Dacko, Secretary of NeW at the University of South Carolina.

What was your favorite event that you participated in with NeW?
As the secretary of my chapter, I attended every recruiting event we hosted as well as our meetings. I loved having the opportunity to talk with like-minded women!

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduating in May, I’ll be moving to Charlotte and working as an incoming staffing consultant with Beacon Hill Staffing Group.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
To be yourself! People will like you for you — and if they don’t, that’s their problem. On that same token, I encourage you to really step out of your comfort zone and try something new. You learn more from your failures than you do inside the classroom.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has given me lasting friendships and prepared me by equipping me for the future with the best thing: knowledge.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it helped provide a safe space for me to talk about politics and my conservative views. I love that other women can find value in this as well!

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Josi. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
