Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Gabriella Sodomin, Secretary of NeW at Florida State University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
This year I was able to participate in our welcome back picnic and pumpkin painting events.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. I will complete a masters program in Health Sciences then attend medical school to pursue a career in surgery.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
I encourage all conservative women starting college to stay true to their values and beliefs. Be informed and make educated statements. Rollo May once said, “the opposite of courage in our society isn’t cowardice, it’s conformity.” The moment you decide to be your own individual with confidence and determination you will succeed in whatever you may do.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has given me the opportunity to stay updated on current events and learn more about conservative beliefs, especially from the viewpoint of a women. I solidified my beliefs on certain topics and had some new topics brought to my attention. NeW has taught me to be confident in my values and how to navigate society as a conservative women.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it provided me an outlet to voice my conservative views and meet other wonderful women with like-minded views on campus. This organization has been a part of my entire college career, and I am glad that I joined.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Gabriella. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
