Senior Spotlight: Franchetta Groves, The Catholic University of America

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Franchetta Groves, President of NeW at The Catholic University of America.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
Throughout college one of the most exciting events of the year for me was attending Leadership Retreat. It has been an integral part of my networking and leadership development throughout college. By meeting so many amazing conservative women I have seen myself grow and learn in so many ways.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I will be working as a Communications Associate with the Network of enlightened Women.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
College is a great time to push yourself outside your comfort zone. Find your community of women who will support you through it all and then push yourself to enter spaces and take on new experiences you might initially avoid. Challenge yourself intellectually and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, college is the time to do it!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has helped me develop leadership and professional skills both on and off campus. Without NeW I wouldn’t have met so many passionate and strong conservative women who have helped me grow in my academic and professional career.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it provides conservative women with not only professional development skills, but a sense of community that fosters intellectual diversity.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Franchetta. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
