Senior Spotlight: Faith Elert, NeW at Ashland University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Faith Elert, member of NeW at Ashland University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I really enjoyed our discussion on “The Differences Between Men and Women” and participating in Women’s History Trivia Night.

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to be a high school history teacher!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Do not be afraid to voice your opinions. There are other conservative women out there, and they might be afraid to voice theirs too. If you speak, others will start speaking.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
It has helped us establish a space for conservative women on our university campus, who have become close friends of mine. The support system that the women both on campus and in the national network provide is wonderful. There are so many resources for internships and jobs after graduation.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it encourages young women to be confident in their political opinions. Frequently, conservative women are shut down as being uneducated, but NeW helps women have the knowledge to back up their opinions and find others who think as they do.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Faith. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
