Senior Spotlight: Courtney Wilt, University of South Florida

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Courtney Wilt, President of NeW at University of South Florida.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
My favorite event that we have had is Painting N Politics, which is an event we have every semester. It is so fun to take a break from the school work and have fun with friends while talking about current events in politics.

Another event, that was an amazing opportunity was being able to host Judge Jeanine Pirro from Fox. It was a great event that we were able to open to conservatives across campus and in the Tampa community.

What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation would be to continue my education to get my doctorate in physical therapy.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
My advice would be to stay true to who you are. Don’t think that you have to change your views just because they don’t align with someone else’s.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has prepared me for my next steps by growing as a leader after serving as the president of NeW this past year. While serving as President, I have been able to voice and share my conservation views while showing other conservative young women to stand up for what you believe in.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it has allowed me to find a group of girls who share similar values and beliefs as myself, and will support me through everything.
