Senior Spotlight: Carlin Rattz

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Carlin Rattz, Executive Merchandise Director of NeW at North Carolina State University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
We had a Galentine’s tote bag painting party where we painted tote bags and filled them with goodies to give to seniors in our community. We also visited the North Carolina State Capitol and were given a tour by one of our state senators.

What are your plans after graduation?
TBD – Definitely a career perusing my passions in business, marketing, and biology!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Do not let the campus “norms” in terms of political beliefs crush you. Stand up for your beliefs even if they aren’t greatly accepted or talked about on campus.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has brought me together with a close group of like-minded women who are encouraging and supportive of me and my aspirations.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it gave me an outlet to express my beliefs and feel accepted by women just like me on a campus where I otherwise would not have been accepted for my personal beliefs.
