Senior Spotlight: Calista Stafford, Indiana University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Calista Stafford, President of NeW at Indiana University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
We hosted the INGOP Director of Diversity, Whitley Yates.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law in the fall.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Don’t be afraid to go to callout meetings by yourself. You probably won’t walk into college with a group of friends already and it’s so important to put yourself out there and find organizations that you love.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW introduced me to women with similar goals who pushed me to set myself up for future success. My older friends from NeW helped me to prepare for the LSAT and the law school application process.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it was one of the first groups I got involved in when I came to IU in August 2020. The women were so welcoming and I was able to make real, lasting friendships despite all of the campus COVID restrictions. I have met some of my best friends through NeW, and for that I am forever grateful.
