Senior Spotlight: Brienna Ledbetter, NeW at the University of Michigan

As the academic year is coming to a close, NeW wants to take some time to recognize our members who are graduating this semester to thank them for their hard work and dedication to our organization. This spotlight is highlighting Brienna Ledbetter, co-founder of NeW at the University of Michigan.

What was your favorite NeW events or campaigns that you participated in this year?
I attended the CPAC Conference. At the CPAC conference I was exposed to other NeW chapter leaders from across the country and was able to attend the Cupcake party which was a wonderful experience!

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be pursuing a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan through the School of Social Work. My concentrations will be in Social Policy Evaluation and Management of Human Services.

What is your favorite part or memory of NeW?
My favorite part of NeW is connecting with other conservative women on campus. Helping to co-found the chapter at the University of Michigan was a challenging and eye-opening experience that I am very grateful for.

What is one piece of advice you would give to conservative women starting college?
I would give the advice to never give up. There are a lot of times that the Conservative way of thinking is not supported or respected on college campuses. However, it is important to stand up for Conservative ideals, regardless of how they are accepted.
