Senior Spotlight: Bailey Everett, NeW at Mercer University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Bailey Everett, Executive Editor of Programming at NeW at Mercer University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved our chapter’s Halloween “Boo Bash,” toiletry drive for Warner Robins Air Force base, speaker event on socialism, and speaker event on human trafficking.

What are your plans after graduation?
Grad school at Mercer University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Don’t hide who you are! The right people will like you for who you are, and there are more women who think like you than you would believe. Be a leader!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has shown me how to be confident in my beliefs despite all the hatred that comes with being a conservative on a college campus. I definitely believe I will go forward in life being authentically me without the pressure of trying to fit in.

Why is NeW important to you?
Having a welcoming space to voice my opinions is such an important thing for women in college. Women in NeW have so many opportunities to learn skills that will help them professionally and personally as they go forward in life, and I really enjoyed getting to be around wonderful women as I learned so much about myself and the world around me.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Bailey. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
