Congratulations to our graduating seniors, and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Ashley Martin, President of NeW at The Catholic University of America.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?

Some of my favorites were our House Majority Leader Steve Scalise event, Ladies on the Lawn, and our Galentine’s Day event!

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be attending law school at George Mason’s Antonin Scalia Law School!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?

Make sure you take advantage of every opportunity you have! It is absolutely worth it to do every internship you can and to get involved in clubs you may have never heard of. I was able to get so much more out of college than what I imagined because I did not let me being a freshman stop me from going after an internship I desired and knew I was willing to work for!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?

NeW has impacted me because it has provided me a place to get to know amazing people part of the national chapter and my college chapter. It prepared me for my next steps because I know that I can still be a “girl boss,” while also being respectful and traditional, which is how every NeW girl I know is. It is truly inspiring!

Why is NeW important to you?

NeW is important to me because I came into college having never heard of it and I am leaving college knowing the impact it has left. I have been able to put on my own events through the school year, while also getting to know amazing women and telling them about the benefits of NeW. It is not a typical political club; it invites all women to come discuss hot topic issues in a respectful manner. I will miss NeW dearly!

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Ashley. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
