Senior Spotlight: Ashley Busby, NeW at University of South Florida

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Ashley Busby, co-founder of NeW at University of South Florida.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I had the opportunity to attend the NeW Leadership Retreat, where I connected with several other chapter leaders across the country, some of whom are now my closest friends! I also attended CPAC in Orlando this past year and absolutely loved networking with other professionals and like-minded women!

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, my time will be directed toward wedding planning and pursuing a career in marketing!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
If I could offer one piece of advice to young women starting college, it would be to never compromise your beliefs and think for yourself. The education system will work to sway you from your traditional values. It will play on your emotions as a means of persuasion. However, if you are aware of such tactics you will be able to stand firm without wavering.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has been one of the greatest opportunities I have experienced in college. As former president of my chapter, I was able to grow as a leader, learn how to manage a team, and host incredible speakers like Morgan Zegers. NeW confirmed my passion for the pursuit of promoting conservative values and ideas to young women in this generation and the next.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it gave me the opportunity to further conservative ideas on campus. It also blessed me with an amazing community of women nationwide!

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Ashley. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
