Senior Spotlight: Alyssa Jones, Virginia Tech

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Alyssa Jones, President of NeW at Virginia Tech.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
The Cabot Phillips Speaker Event.

What are your plans after graduation?
Work! Still choosing between options.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Pursue what you’d like for the reasons you’d like. People in college are too busy to worry about what other people choose to be interested in, and if they are, it only shows that their priorities are mixed up. Don’t be afraid to stand out!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has given me invaluable networking and leadership skills that serve as a foundation for soft skills and communication throughout my career.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW shines lights on issues that aren’t always mainstream. I like that NeW sticks to its values and interests no matter if they’re in the news cycle of not. This independence of thought paired with ensuring ladies are ready for the professional workforce is invaluable.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Alyssa. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
