Meet Aly Mikesell, President of NeW at Baylor University.
What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
Leading NeW at Baylor has been one of the most rewarding experiences in college. I have loved seeing our community of likeminded women grow together. Some highlights have been our shooting events and hosting Riley Gaines!
What are your plans after graduation?
I will be a Sales Associate for Contitech.
What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Be confident in sharing what you believe. Always be respectful to others’ ideas and open to listening and you will find you might have more in common than you might think.
How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has helped me work with a variety of people and be able to confidently share my ideas. I think it’s important to be able to talk to people with varying opinions of important topics.
Why is NeW important to you?
It has given me a community of girls I can confide in about my values. I’ve seen our chapter start from me and my vice president to a thriving group of girls and I’m excited to see it continue to grow.
