NeW at Xavier University Supports Local Women at Galentine’s Day Social

NeW at Xavier University celebrated Galentine’s Day with a social event aimed at supporting women in the local community on February 11, 2021.

Ten women from the chapter gathered to commemorate the holiday, which is typically celebrated each year on the day before Valentine’s Day in appreciation of female relationships, with a small party that featured face masks and social distancing. At the event, attendees wrote letters of support to local women and enjoyed heart-shaped cookies to spread positivity.

“Galentine’s was a fun social event hosted by NeW at Xavier. We wrote cards to encourage women and enjoyed heart-shaped cookies. Attending chapter meetings such as this Galentine’s event, allows me to be surrounded by like-minded ladies on my college campus!” chapter member Abby Patterson said.
