In September, NeW at Xavier University hosted their first meeting on campus and invited first-year students and other interested women on campus to join them for popsicles. They took this time to introduce women to their chapter and shared about what it was like to get involved in NeW. They were thrilled with the great response they got and the new women they were able to plug in to their chapter.

Additionally, to encourage women to come, they offered free headshots so attendees could update their LinkedIn profiles.

Following the event, Caroline Barroso, Campus Recruiter for NeW at Xavier University said, “This was a great way to kickoff the year! We introduced NeW and emphasized professional development by taking headshots for the girls. We also enjoyed popsicles while discussing the current news media.”
