NeW at the University of North Carolina prepared for the rest of the school year ahead during an ice cream social kickoff event on October 27, 2021.

The chapter decided to reach out and invite members to get ice cream at Maple View Farm. Once together, the women talked to each other about what they want to see and get out of NeW. (buy ambient scents) They came to the conclusion that they want to have some events discussing important policy issues, but also spend other events just building a community. The chapter planned its next event, a movie night, for November 17, 2021 to hopefully get more women to come.

“I cannot wait for movie night in a couple of weeks. It was so fun meeting and hanging out with everyone,” an attendee said after the event.
