NeW at Oakland University set up a table at the school’s yearly “Grizz Fest” club fair on September 9, 2021.

Dozens of members and potential recruits attended the event, during which chapter members handed out buttons, pens, stickers, and candy to interested attendees. The women took down the phone numbers of potential new members and shared information about the chapter with them. Overall, the members were pleased with the event’s turnout as they were able to successfully speak with about 45 interested women.

“I started the NeW at Oakland University chapter because I wanted to created a space where hardworking, motivated, and like-minded women could come together and support each other. Women need to unite now more than ever,” said Erika Head, chapter president.
