NeW at Oakland University Gets Professional Advice at Virtual Speaker Event

NeW at Oakland University received professional tips and tricks during a virtual speaker event hosted by the chapter on November 4, 2021.

Fourteen members attended the event with Emma Grimes, author of Good To Great – How To Pursue Greatness Through Branding and Self-Marketing. The former Miss America contestant talked about confidence, interviewing, and self-marketing tips for women. Grimes spoke to the chapter on interviewing, creating a list of awesome things about themselves to use in interviewing, and how to strengthen their communication skills. She also sent the women copies of her book.

“Network of enlightened Women has been such a supportive community of ladies on campus! One chapter member told me that she skipped her night class to attend our first speaker event. Another invited our members to her wedding. Not only do we get to gather as conservative women, but we also get to support each other in important life events. I am so thankful for NeW!” Erika Head, chapter president, said.
