Who: Female high school seniors and college students.
Prompt: This year, we begin celebrating the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in America. Women around the world still don’t have some rights that we exercise regularly here in America. What woman do you think has made the biggest difference in the history of America? Why? What can women in America and around the world learn from her? How can American women help support other women around the world?
Deadline: August 16, 2019 at 11:59pm ET
Prize: $500 for the first place winners of the College and High School Category. The first place essays will have the opportunity to be published.
The essay must be 600-750 words and participants can respond to one or more of the questions in the prompt.
