NeW at Iowa State University Learns From Lawmakers During State Capitol Visit

NeW at Iowa State University went to the Iowa Capitol to speak with state Senator Carrie Koelker and state Senator Dawn Driscoll on April 19, 2021.

The seven members who attended had the opportunity to tour the Iowa Capitol building, discuss the senators’ experiences in the state legislature, and hear about what it takes to be a strong leader. All of the ladies learned a great amount and left feeling blessed to be able to participate in the unique opportunity.

“This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and one that I believe the women of NeW will take with them to be better equipped leaders in their futures,” Nicole, chapter president, said after the event.
