Leader Spotlight: Karsyn Dorris, NeW at Sioux Falls

Meet Karsyn Dorris, Communications Director of NeW at Sioux Falls.

How did you first hear about NeW?
Our chapter president reached out to me and told me a little about NeW — it was love at first sight!

Why is having a NeW chapter on campus so important to you?
It is so important that we are able to come together (unfortunately not on campus for us) because we are all so different, but we all have a common belief and goal, so this allows us to express that.

What has been your favorite memory or event with NeW?
Our very first event at Great Shots! It was my first time meeting a lot of our chapter members and is something that I will never forget. It was such a great night filled with light-hearted fun.

Why is NeW important?
NeW is important because it gives conservative and conservative-leaning women a voice and an outlet. NeW is especially important to me because of the hostility we have been experiencing politically as of late. It helps to remind me that I am not alone.

What advice would you give other conservative women on campus?
To seek us out! We are such an inclusive, fun group. Definitely do not be afraid to stop by a few events and test the waters of NeW. I promise you will not regret it!
