Leader Spotlight: Bailey Everett, NeW at Mercer University

Meet Bailey Everett, Director of Programming for NeW at Mercer University.

How did you first hear about NeW?
I had mutual friends with our chapter president and vice president, and after a quick chat with them, I was immediately on board!

Why is having a NeW chapter on campus so important to you?
Having a safe place for women who think similarly to discuss their opinions and make friends without judgment is so important. College life can be intimidating at Mercer, but having women who support me and encourage me to be a leader without fear is priceless.

What has been your favorite memory or event with NeW?
Having regular meetings with our president and vice president! They were definitely supposed to be strictly business meetings, but we always end up talking about our lives and struggles and have gotten so close. I couldn’t imagine NeW without them! (what does generic .25 xanax look like)

Why is NeW important?
College campuses are increasingly becoming less and less tolerant of anyone who doesn’t share leftist beliefs. Having NeW provides members with a welcoming group of women who are open to all kinds of ideas, and we constantly empower and support each other to live our lives authentically.

What advice would you give other conservative women on campus?
Be strong in your beliefs!! People may treat you differently because of your politics, but remember that being a trailblazer is not always easy. You have a massive group of women cheering you on, and you are being an example to those who are afraid to speak up. Be you unapologetically.
