Internship Spotlight: Alexia Bianchi, NeW at University of South Florida

NeW is proud to highlight the great internship opportunities NeW women are experiencing in the workplace. Meet Alexia Bianchi, vice president of NeW at the University of South Florida and an intern for Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody. Alexia shares more about her internship:

Why did you apply for this internship?
As I was looking for ways to become more politically involved, a member of the College Republicans at USF told me about this opportunity, and I immediately went for it.

What does your day look like in your internship?
A typical day includes doing research on results from Attorney General Moody’s previous campaign and preparing for her to run for reelection in August 2022.

What has been your favorite part of the internship so far?
Meeting Ashley Moody herself has been my favorite part of the internship so far.

How does this internship help set you up for your career dreams?
This internship has taught me a lot about the behind the scenes of running a campaign and has allowed me to make great connections.

How has your experience with NeW prepared you for this role? 
My experience with NeW taught me how to write a resume that stands out and how to use my gained knowledge of politics in the work force.
