Bill Rivers has the manners of a Southern gentleman and the gusto of a political giant without the greed. His charming smile, contagious chuckle, and attentive demeanor reveal a polished person, inside and out.
Bill’s personality, propriety, and driven purpose are rooted in Christian principles and conscious citizenship. Supportive of pro-life causes and crisis pregnancy centers, Bill has at heart the most vulnerable of society. Back home in his native Delaware, he mentors high school students in writing and leadership and enjoys the company of his four younger siblings.
Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Delaware and Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. On the Hill, he has worked as Press Assistant and Deputy Press Secretary to Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.). Presently, Bill is a speechwriter in the U.S. Senate and spends his free time, writing, drawing, and painting, with one novel already finished.
There are few young men in this world (and especially in Washington) with such a strong moral compass, noble aspirations, and earnest concern for those around him. Join me in nominating Bill Rivers to Gentleman of the Year!
