“Being a gentleman means possessing the qualities of probity, dedication, and loyalty. Weakness in any one of these three traits leads one to be too brash, selfish, or unreliable. A gentleman is characterized by his ability to be forthright in his intentions and his display of compassion for those around him. This understanding of what it means to be a gentleman and the demeanor this understanding relies upon are why I humbly consider myself to be a fitting candidate for Gentleman of the Year.
