“Being a gentleman means possessing the qualities of probity, dedication, and loyalty. Weakness in any one of these three traits leads one to be too brash, selfish, or unreliable. A gentleman is characterized by his ability to be forthright in his intentions and his display of compassion for those around him. This understanding of what it means to be a gentleman and the demeanor this understanding relies upon are why I humbly consider myself to be a fitting candidate for Gentleman of the Year. It is my hope that by participating in this showcase and — with good fortune — being named Gentleman of the Year that I will be able to provide a small example of why my belief in what makes a gentleman is both worthy of emulation and helps to soften the crude manners that are now considered ordinary behavior for men.” ~Robbie Rosamelia, Nominee
