Kendall McCarty, 22, is the owner and Chief Strategist of Next Step Strategies LLC. He also serves as Third Vice Chair of his local County party and Executive Director of the South Carolina Young Republicans. In 2011 Kendall founder the South Carolina Federation of Teenage Republicans which is still an active organization. He believes it is extremely important to work towards the furthering of women in politics. The Democratic party is often noted as the party for women, and it is has always been important to Kendall to break this stereotype in society.

In 2017, Kendall ran the campaign for Shayla Flores for Major of Chapin SC. Flores at age 20 would have been the youngest female mayor in United State history if the race would have ended in victory. Though this race did not end as hoped, Flores and McCarty made an impact on the advancement of women in politics. Throughout the race, so many mothers told the campaign how much of an inspiration it was for their young daughters. McCarty ran a modern campaign that focused on social media advertising through targeted video messages and literature drops.

Currently, McCarty is serving as the Campaign Manager for Joan Clyborne for SC House of Representatives District 38. With the success of this race, McCarty will be able to help add another female to the SC Legislature.

He is also a Senior at the University of South Carolina-Upstate, studying Political Consulting. McCarty is a member of Green Hill Baptist Church, where he volunteers in youth ministry groups. One of his biggest passions is working for education reform to include more occupational training and trades in the high school education system.
