Chapter Leader Spotlight: Nicole Divers, NeW at UNC Chapel Hill

Meet Nicole Divers, a senior at UNC Chapel Hill and President of her NeW chapter on campus.

Nicole is taking over the NeW Instagram to give a behind the scenes look at her life on campus and take viewers to NeW at UNC Chapel Hill’s Treats and Trivia event. Be sure to tune in!

Who is a woman past or present that inspires you?
This might be cliché but I’ve always been incredibly inspired by my mother. She worked hard in college and earned a BS, MS, and PhD. Her hard work and success always showed me growing up that nothing could hold me back if I put in the effort to succeed.

What are your aspirations/dreams after college?
After I graduate from UNC, I want to pursue a PhD in political science and eventually go into academia. In a perfect world, I’d become a tenured professor one day! I want to go into academia to be able to present a perspective that isn’t left-leaning and inspire more young women to get involved in campus leadership positions.

What does NeW mean to you?
NeW to me is a network of strong women. I love that we can support each other and have important conversations, even if we may not agree on an issue. (Ambien)
