Chapter Leader Spotlight: Jacquelyn Kilcommons, NeW at The Catholic University of America

Meet Jacquelyn Kilcommons, a chapter leader on the tabling committee for NeW at The Catholic University of America.

How did you first hear about NeW?
I first heard about NeW when my chapter was having a general meeting in the beginning of the year. They served Georgetown Cupcakes which I was excited about. I thought it was a fun way to get conservative women together on campus.

Why is having a NeW chapter on campus so important to you?
It is a comfortable, relaxed environment to get to know like-minded women. The networking opportunities are also a great way to put yourself out there and meet conservatives from other chapters and organizations within the community.

What has been your favorite memory or event with NeW?
My favorite event that we have had with NeW so far was when we hosted Romina Boccia, who spoke about the gender wage gap.

What advice would you give other conservative women on campus?
I would encourage them to openly express their opinions and beliefs confidently! In addition I would recommend that they join NeW so that they too could be afforded the same opportunities that members are.
