Donor Engagement Officer – Virtual

About the Role

In this position, you will have the opportunity to grow NeW through development alongside an experienced team of hardworking women and work with top conservative leaders around the country. The ideal candidate has a passion for the work NeW is doing with university and young professional women and wants to further the organization’s mission by helping the organization grow its resources.

In this role, you will report directly to the President of the organization. You will build a portfolio to raise private philanthropic funds to advance NeW’s mission. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and foundation prospects, managing donors and prospects across the donor lifecycle. You will assist the President on NeW’s overall development program and its work to maintain strong relationships with current donors. You will focus on increasing the engagement and financial investment of donors. You will have the chance to offer entrepreneurial ideas and grow as a development professional.

This position is fully remote and can be based virtually anywhere in the U.S., however working hours will be in Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and research prospect donors (individuals and foundations).
  • Build a portfolio of supporters in various stages of the giving cycle by cultivating relationships through frequent communication.
  • Draft and track correspondence and communicate with prospect and current donors.
  • Meet with prospect and current donors in-person and invite them to support NeW.
  • Collect program data and metrics for reporting on team achievements.
  • Update metrics and use data to track, analyze, and prepare monthly reports to analyze progress and subsequently determine necessary actions to maximize productivity. Enter data and use the CRM database.
  • Assist the President on projects and research to grow NeW’s impact.
  • Prepare yourself and any staff for any development-related meetings by creating materials.
  • Draft a variety of materials for different audiences including email updates, grant requests, correspondence with donors, event summaries, and marketing materials for events.
  • Travel to NeW events and relevant meetings to build relationships with potential donors.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel ~25% – this number will vary, depending on the home location of the candidate and their specific skill set.
  • Experience in development, including identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospect and current donors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to think through new strategies for engaging prospect and current donors.
  • Strong experience in managing projects and a track record of follow-through, growth, and success.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Excitement about relationship-building.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external audiences.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • A strong work ethic and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated personal responsibility, accountability, honesty, and superb organizational skills.
  • A positive attitude, spirit of collaboration, and eagerness to work with other team members on materials and strategies to grow our impact.
  • Experience with a CRM database.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor information.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and absolute commitment to the mission of NeW.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

National Events Coordinator – Virtual

About the Role

Want to advance conservative ideas and impact the next generation of young women? Want to be part of a positive women’s empowerment organization? Interested in an entrepreneurial environment with a team that wants to see you grow professionally? Join the Network of enlightened Women (NeW), the nation’s premier organization for conservative university women, as National Events Coordinator. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with top conservative women around the country, build a movement for conservative college women, and implement your own ideas on campus to make a difference.

The National Events Coordinator will work to expand the impact of NeW through planning and executing national events. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with college chapters and young professional chapters, NeW educates young women on conservative principles, cultivates a community of conservative women, and emboldens young women to speak out on campus and in their communities. In addition, NeW hosts annual programs to engage these women, including an annual leadership retreat. The National Events Coordinator will work to advance the mission of NeW by recruiting new student and young professional members while planning virtual and in-person programming to further the impact of NeW across the nation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the NeW National team to develop a suite of NeW National programs that further our organization’s mission.
  • Work with the Vice President of Programs to execute plans for national events and programs.
  • Handle all administrative details, logistics, and data tracking for national programs.
  • Represent NeW at meetings, conferences, and other events to promote our programs, membership, and chapters.
  • Build relationships with students, partners, and coalitions.
  • Collect and distribute NeW materials.
  • Identify and recruit women to start more NeW chapters and join existing chapters.
  • Execute administrative details and assist in other areas of this growing nonprofit.
  • Work with the NeW Programs Team to set meaningful program goals and develop strategic plans.

Preferred Requirements 

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 3 years of professional experience, ideally in events, programs, outreach, or administration
  • A leader or actively involved in an organization on campus
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel 20% of the time and to work when students are available, such as nights and weekends
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple ongoing projects, tasks, and deadlines
  • Experience in managing projects and a track record of follow-through, growth, and success
  • Possess excellent communication skills with external audiences as well as internal audiences
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter and independent worker willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, personal responsibility, and accountability
  • A collaborative approach and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Commitment to the mission and principles of the Network of enlightened Women

Tired of hearing about the war on women? Ready for a vibrant alternative to campus feminism? Want to advance pro-liberty ideas on campus? The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) is looking for talented and motivated students for our internships. Interning with NeW provides the opportunity to work directly with the leadership of a growing nonprofit organization and use your skills to fight for ideas you believe in. As a NeW intern, you will become connected with a network of influential women leaders in politics and policy. Internships are available in the fall, spring and summer, and can be done remotely from any university. Part-time and full-time positions, determined on a case by case basis. Stipends are available for some intern positions and internships can be used for course credit. You will need to inquire into the requirements of your specific university for course credit.
