Meet Eleanor Porte, Vice President of NeW at American University.
What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
My favorite events were our Mt. Vernon trip and DC meetup.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to work.
What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
I would say that it is always better to stand up and tell people your real option, even though us is hard and may seem daunting, than to hide behind the opinions of your peers
How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
It has prepared me to speak about my views in an educated and thoughtful manner.
Why is NeW important to you?
It gave me a sense of belonging on a campus where my views made me feel very isolated.
