Intern Spotlight: Isabelle Brumley

Meet Isabelle Brumley, our Spring Chapters Intern! Isabelle is a Sophomore at Texas Tech University.

Q: How did you hear about NeW? I followed Jaycee Tyler, one of NeW’s Campus Program Coordinators, on Instagram because we go to the same church, and I saw her post about her involvement. I messaged her about how I could get involved when I started at Texas Tech.

Q: Why is NeW important? I believe NeW is important because having like-minded friends to go through school and life with is a tremendous blessing. I struggled a lot with having different beliefs and values than my friends in high school and have loved the community NeW has given me.

Q: What is the most important conservative issue in your opinion? Abortion/Pro-Life issues are critical to me and continue to be a big conversation in politics. I don’t think this issue is going to go away anytime soon, and we will need to continue to encourage women to choose life.

Q: If you could offer advice to college students, what would it be? I would advise putting yourself out there and meeting as many new people as possible. College should be about having new experiences and finding out what you want to stand for.

Q: Why were you interested in interning for NeW? I have loved being a member and chapter leader for NeW. I wanted to be more involved in continuing to help the organization grow so we can empower more young women to speak out about their beliefs.

Q: What do you hope to gain from your internship? I hope to become a better leader for my chapter. I would also like to be more confident in speaking about my values to communicate elegantly and effectively.
