I am a conservative because I believe in incremental change, fiscal responsibility, and traditional American values. I believe that change comes best when it is slow and steady. I believe in fiscal responsibility that includes less government spending as I believe that it would be better to address things from their root cause. I believe in complete freedom and liberty. NeW has provided a place for me to voice and strengthen my conservative beliefs on a liberal campus!

I come from liberal Rhode Island, where my voice was stifled. As the daughter of immigrants who escaped communism and became small business owners, I support capitalism to the fullest and believe that the American dream can be achieved with a little hard work. My parents left Laos and its communist country to have freedom in America. I came to college nervous that I wouldn’t find people with similar views, but NeW has become a haven for me.
