Senior Spotlight: Grace Bowman, NeW at Mercer University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Grace Bowman, member of NeW at Mercer University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved NeW Galentine’s Day and “Socialism Sucks with Andres.”

What are your plans after graduation?
I am hoping to attend law school; however, I might take a year off in order to learn more about the law field within a job.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Something that I think would be beneficial for a conservative woman starting college is to stand up for what you believe in. Rather than change your opinions or viewpoints in order to accommodate those around you, stay strong with what you believe. Your opinion matters!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has impacted me by showing me a group of women who understand what they believe in and stand together. It has prepared me in my next steps by pushing me further into my beliefs and validating thoughts and ideas I had about certain topics. Education within political beliefs is important and allows you to understand more about yourself and those around you.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me since it helps to empower women to make choices that they want for their future.
