Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.
Meet Clara Silva Guidotti, member of NeW at the University of South Florida.
What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved our “Painting ‘n Politics” event. It was great to have a relaxing meeting with such great people and to talk about such important topics in our contemporary world! Our chapter’s “Living in Cuba” with Alexia’s grandmother was also a great learning experience.
What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
I know that finding like-minded friends can seem hopeless at times, but there are more people who feel like you do than you could imagine. You will find them over the course of the semesters, and they might become your best friends from college — just like it happened to me. Don’t give up!
How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW inspired and guided me to stand my ground and defend my beliefs and values. It can be quite intimidating to go against the mass flow of opinions, but NeW provided me with the support and friends I needed to find my inner strength to show myself better to the world!
Why is NeW important to you?
Not only did NeW provide me with a safe place on campus where I can share my stories and hear from others without being discriminated against, but it also introduced me to great women that I now proudly call my friends!
The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Clara. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
