NeW at University of Notre Dame Holds Discussion on Psychology of Morality

NeW at the University of Notre Dame practiced putting themselves in other peoples’ shoes during a group discussion on February 9, 2022.

Members from the chapter gathered and enjoyed cookies while watching a Ted Talk about viewing things from another person’s perspective in order to understand and empathize with their decisions and actions. The ladies then listened to a few minutes of a related podcast, stopping it at various points throughout to discuss.

Putting myself in other people’s shoes has allowed me to have many productive conversations and debates with people who have different views than me. This skill will show them respect and encourage them to do the same with me,” Aviva Lund, chapter vice president, said after the event.
