NeW at Mercer University Holds ‘Flags for 9/11’ Giveaway in Honor of Lives Lost

NeW at Mercer University commemorated the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks by holding a “Flags for 9/11” giveaway the day before the 20th anniversary of the national tragedy.

For the event, the chapter passed out American flags to their fellow students in honor of the lives lost. They tabled in the main area of campus and offered flags to those who walked by. The women had a great time doing this and were the only organization that did anything to mark the occasion, making them proud that they decided to plan the event.

“This event was a great way to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11 at Mercer,” said Lila Fraser, chapter president.
