Recognizing Service, Respect, and Kindness since 2010.
In a time in American society when many people are having a tough time defining terms like “man” or “woman”, the Network of enlightened Women is choosing to recognize and celebrate gentlemen across the country through the 15th annual Gentlemen Showcase. This Showcase highlights men who exemplify the qualities of service, respect, and kindness.
Since 2010, this annual contest, sponsored by NeW, has been a way to recognize and honor young gentlemen across the country. The Showcase has been featured by ABC News, CBS DC, New York Post, Red Alert Politics, The Atlantic, The College Fix, The Washington Examiner, and Townhall.
The 2024 Gentlemen Showcase is now closed.
This year’s contest will be a little different: The week of February 5-9, 2024, we will feature five gentlemen and the charities of their choice on our social media pages. The charity of each winner will receive a donation of $200. The nominators will also be competing for exciting prizes that will be announced soon! You can read the official contest rules here.
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and sign up for our monthly NeWsletter to find out more about the contest. If you have any questions about The Gentlemen Showcase, please contact Alexis Flowers.
NeW is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Gentlemen Showcase. Learn more about them and what they think it means to be a gentleman.
Zach is a student at Winston-Salem State University. A donation in his name will be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
“I believe it starts with how you treat others. Putting others before yourself, helping the elderly and respecting your elders, going out of your way to help others, and it even means how you carry yourself.” – Zach Groce
Kirk is a student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. A donation in his name will be made to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
“As well as being respectful, a gentleman is humble and has a love of learning. Not only in higher education, but in everyday life. A gentleman realizes that others are knowledgeable in ways that he may not be, and has a desire to learn from people of all walks of life.” – Kirk George
Jake is a student at Loyola University Maryland. A donation in his name will be made to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
“Being a gentleman is about modeling the qualities of a servant leader. In a time when masculinity is under attack for being ‘toxic,’ it’s critical to remember and advocate for true gentlemanliness and to be an active practitioner of those values.” – Jake Taylor
Matthew is a student at Long Island University. A donation in his name will be made to The Success Institute of New Jersey.
“A gentleman must be someone who stands for truth and tradition, who does not compromise on his integrity, and who knows how to hold himself to higher moral standards.” – Matthew Cairo
Jason is an Electrician at Mr. Electric. A donation in his name will be made to the Answers for Life Pregnancy Center.
“Being a gentleman in 2024 is and should be what it always has been; being a man that strives for truth and leads my family in those truths.” – Jason Jorg
