Kara Bloomer

Advisory Board Member

Kara Bloomer is a Partner at Bloomer Law Firm, where she leads the firm’s Data Analytics Compliance practice. Drawing on her experience at the intersection of technology, law, and privacy, she helps some of the world’s most innovative companies navigate the evolving landscape of data privacy, artificial intelligence, and antitrust compliance.

Her path to leadership in data law began far from a legal profession. Kara started her career as a process engineer in the semiconductor industry, building lithography and bonding systems in an environment where women were few and she learned confidence and character. That experience shaped her approach to problem‑solving and perseverance—skills she later carried into her work as a patent attorney and as a secondee at Meta, advising on global privacy and data analytics issues.

Kara holds a J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University, where she was a leader of the NeW chapter on campus. As a registered patent attorney, she integrates technical fluency with pragmatic legal counsel.

A mother of three, Kara brings both empathy and resilience to her leadership.
