Meet Chloe Collins, our summer Communications Intern! Chloe is a senior at Texas A&M.
Q: How did you hear about NeW?
I first heard about NeW when a recruiter contacted me about starting a chapter. As a member of a few conservative groups on campus, I was thrilled to help establish a NeW chapter.
Q: Why is NeW important?
NeW is important because it offers a community of like-minded individuals, providing support, mentorship, and networking opportunities. It helps students engage in advocacy and develop leadership skills while promoting conservative values and ensuring their voices are heard in political and social issues.
Q: What is the most important conservative issue in your opinion?
The most important conservative issue to me is parental rights in education. Children are our future and are being negatively impacted by those who are supposed to prepare them for the world. It’s concerning when teachers talk to them about gender or sex. Parents should have more say in what schools are teaching their children. I constantly worry about what my 8-year-old sister is learning at school.
Q: If you could offer advice to college students, what would it be?
Try different classes and activities in college to find what you like. I changed my major because I enjoyed my electives more than my major courses, and now I’m about to graduate to start a career I’m excited about. Also, joining organizations like NeW can help you meet new people and expand your network.
Q: Why were you interested in interning for NeW?
I was interested in interning for NeW because I love what they stand for and do for conservative women. After meeting with the recruiters and working closely to start the organization on my campus, I became even more excited to join their mission.
Q: What do you hope to gain from your internship?
I hope to learn new skills and gain real-world experience from my internship. I want to develop professionalism, make long-lasting friendships, and build a strong network for my future career.
