Chapter Leader Spotlight: Mallory Shaevsky, NeW at Michigan University

Meet Mallory Shaevsky, President of the NeW at Michigan University chapter. Mallory shares about her experience with NeW on campus and how she got involved.

How did you first hear about NeW?
I discovered NeW on social media following an event they hosted with Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.

Why is having a NeW chapter on campus so important to you?
I think it is very important for conservative women to know that they are not alone! With social media, school, and other left-leaning organizations, it is important for women to know that they have a community of people who understand them.

What NeW event are you most looking forward to this year?
Our chapter is thrilled to host an event with Michigan state Representative Ann Bollin!

What advice would you give other conservative women on campus?
Do not back away from your values just because others do not understand them.  Do not let peer pressure form your opinions, stay true to yourself! There are many in the same position that stay quiet and are waiting for someone like them to start speaking up, so start speaking up for your ideals and you will find many women who will follow.
