When was the last time you had the chance to win $1,000 for less than 1,000 words? Applications are now open for the 2018 Young Women’s Leadership Retreat Essay Contest. NeW would like to help YOUR voice be heard as a participant in the 2018 Essay Contest. This contest is open to all current high school juniors and seniors. (Diazepam)

The purpose of this scholarship contest is to inspire high school women to reflect on what leadership means to them. NeW is now accepting submissions through April 30. Do not miss this chance to win a scholarship and share your opinions with a wide audience.

Deadline: April 30 at 11:59pm ET

Who: To enter, you must be a legal resident of the United States (except its territories and possessions) or the District of Columbia and a female. You must be a high school student currently enrolled in the United States. If you are under the age of 18 at the time of entry, your parent or legal guardian must enter the Contest and agree to these Official Rules on your behalf.

Prize: $1,000 for the First Place winner and the opportunity to be published. Also, the top ten finalists will automatically receive a travel scholarship to attend the Young Women’s Leadership Retreat at Bryn Mawr College July 26-29. Please note – the retreat is for incoming college freshman and current college students, so any juniors receiving the travel scholarship can use it for the conference summer of 2019.
